AUTHORITIES AND DOCUMENTATION

  • 1- IMMIGRATION

    Arrival: In this part of the process you apply for Tourist Visa. This visa is valid for 180 days since the date of expedition.
    Departure: You get your visa, and Immigration office stamps the passports and crew list.
  • 2- PORT CAPTAIN

    Arrival and Departure: You provide the vessel documents (copy of the certificate, insurance in Mexican waters, crew list with stamp, copy of passports of captain and crew, notarized authorization letter from owner or company, if applies). You must pay a fee according to the gross tonnage of the vessel.
  • 3- BANJERCITO / IN THE CASE OF TRAMIT “TEMPORARY IMPORT”

    Here you can get the vessel's Temporary Import or TIP. The requirements are the followings:
    • Copy of the Certificate.
    • Copy of insurance in Mexican waters.
    • Copy of arrival, stamped by Immigration and Port Captain.
    • Copy of the owner/captain's passport.
    • Notarized authorization letter (in case the owner is not here or the vessel is under a company’s name).
    • Engine serial number.

  • 4- CUSTOMS

    If in the current visit you applied for the TIP, you provide the document to Custom's office for registration and declaration (form provided by Custom’s Office).
